Adam joined Hugh Broughton Architects in 1999 and has been a Director since 2003. Hugh Broughton Architects are world leaders in the design of polar research facilities including Halley VI Research Station for the British Antarctic Survey, the world's first fully relocatable polar base. Alongside the polar work, they have also completed numerous projects in the cultural and heritage sectors in the UK including the Portland Collection at Welbeck and a major project for English Heritage at Clifford’s Tower in York.Adam brings over 20 years of experience and passion for delivering high quality contemporary interventions within historic estates. Adam was responsible for the multi award winning conservation of the Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. Most recently Adam lead the delivery of the extension and refurbishment of the Treasury Building within the Inner Temple.In 2022 Adam took a 6 month sabbatical to begin the restoration, conversion and extension of a Grade II listed 17th century Dovecote in Hampshire.
