Lecturer on renewable energy development and finance in the Masters of the Environment program.

Responsibilities include building out Denver 2030 District's organizational structure and strategic plans, while growing membership, fundraising, and achieving innovative building efficiency goals (50% reduction in energy, water, and transportation-related emissions by 2030 on a district scale). Have successfully grown the organization from a small organizing committee to an initiative with more than 50 members and 18 million square feet of committed space.

Responsible for overseeing and managing Unico Solar's originations, business development, project development and construction teams, while also guiding Unico Solar's overall strategic and business plans.

Responsible for overseeing Unico Solar Investor's renewable energy development and ongoing operations, including identifying, developing, and managing renewable energy investments and acquisitions throughout Unico's real estate portfolio, but also on third-party assets.

Responsible for managing the work plan and budget for Unico's Sustainable Real Estate services with a focus on increasing triple-bottom-line returns using Sustainable Real Estate strategies to attract and retain tenants, reduce capital and operating expenses, increase asset value, and grow corporate cash flow from sustainability-related business activities. In particular, focusing on applying these strategies to the design, construction, and operations for new and existing buildings as well as focusing on land preservation and restoration, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from energy and transportation, conservation of potable water, mitigation of stormwater, reduction of raw materials, diversion of waste, and enhancement of human health, well-being, and experience. Also responsible for managing the acquisition, development, and operations of renewable energy investments, both within Unico Properties’ real estate portfolio and for third-party real estate, including business development to support the growth of Unico Solar Investors.

Identify, analyze and implement energy, water and waste efficiency retrofits on diverse commercial office buildings; Manage LEED certification projects.

Developed the foundation for a transfer of development rights (TDR) bank for Snohomish County, WA. Worked with King County, WA to continue improving and expanding the existing TDR bank.
