Continued focus on the DSP product, but for customer on-premise environments. Led the development of a multi-node kubernetes-based installer and management platform. Collaborated with 5 internal teams to shape their cloud microservices into a form suitable for on-premise deployment. Pioneered the patterns used to allow internal teams to write their code once yet function in both cloud and on-premise environments. Shipped many cluster-internal services including object storage, databases, messaging, API gateway, authentication, authorization, metric collection, and local storage services. Major migrations include transitioning the product from Apache Kafka to Apache Pulsar, and moving from Minio object storage to Seaweedfs. In the latest release of the product, I led the rebuild of the DSP kubernetes infrastructure from the ground up by changing from the gravity-based distribution (an EOL on-premise kubernetes) to a k0s-based distribution. Notably, this included a major rearchitecting of the CICD platform that incorporated many lessons learned from previous experiences and resulted in an excellent development platform where internal services were built, packaged, deployed, and smoketested on a kubernetes cluster in as a little as 3 minutes.Ran the gamut of cross-functional efforts with stakeholders including QA, PSR (Performance, Scale, and Regression), Documentation, ProdSec, Customer Support, Customer Success, Professional Services, Sales and Product. I led a team of 15 engineers and collaborated with around 80-100 working on the project.

Early engineer on the Data Stream Processor (DSP). Played a strong role in the development of initial features including Flink job submission, checkpointing support, and building the patterns for the first sinks (destinations). I performed the first Flink upgrade for the product in our cloud environments from Flink 1.3 to 1.5. Led a team of 3-5 engineers.

Primary engineer on the Rocana Agent (written in Go), a lightweight edge data collector for host metrics (Linux/Windows), syslog, netflow, PCF, and Windows Event logs. Also owned the Metadata consumer, a component that extracted host metadata from the ingest stream and stored in postgres for the UI to provide hints to the user at query time.
