Undertaking design, development, prototyping and production of armoured vehicles, light tactical vehicles, counter terrorism vehicles and survivability solutions for military, security, government, aid agencies and NGOs throughout the world. Based at Jankel's Rustington facility, my responsibilities included:• Competitive bid management – via RFI, RFP & RFQ requests, followed by quotation analysis (to establish TCO) – assuring compliance with company policy and procedures• New supplier selection – adhering to company processes and procedures to ensure due diligence• Procurement representation in In-House Project meetings: Concept design, NPI and DFM - communicating any supply risk(s) and associated costs with stake-holders• Cross commodity management - including: armour fabrications & hot formed pressings (from 3mm to 15mm), sub contract machining (CNC turning and milling), surface treatments, ‘off the shelf’ motor factor parts & automotive cabling.• Planning of materials requirements to ensure timely deliveries and efficient materials control • To instigate and attend supplier meetings (on and off site ‘face to face’) and conference calls – to expedite schedules to satisfy Production and discuss: rejection(s), OTD, part revisions and prototype & production requirements (in close liaison with Engineering, Project Management, Production & Quality departments)I achieved $9,000 of cost saving, per vehicle, for assigned Toyota LC200 projects – via strategic, offshore sourcing of complex armoured materials and non–armour fabrications, to exacting design specifications.Primary software used: Microsoft Office Pro, SAP Business One - on Windows 10 Pro.
