CurrentLead 80 direct reports to support Intelligence, Legislative, Resource Management, and Compliance portfolios for +1000-person agency. Develop vision for policies and programs and oversee operational execution. Build alliances across legislative, public, interagency, and state/local/tribal/territorial/private sector landscape. Report to Undersecretary for I&A (Homeland Security).EXECUTIVE ENGAGEMENT: In regular meetings with Secretary Homeland Security and Deputy Secretary Homeland Security, provide general intelligence and security information, and program updates and provide operational recommendations.AGENCY LEADERSHIP: Meet daily with I&A Dir.’s of Mgmt., Intelligence, and Security and Chief Financial Officer, Chief Security Officer, and CIO to evaluate cybersecurity, personnel security, and threats and direct mitigation efforts.DHS COUNTERTERRORISM: Advise DHS Secretary and Counterterrorism Coordinator on DHS counterterrorism efforts.I&A DIVERSITY & INCLUSION COUNCIL: Champion/inaugural member, Diversity Council; member, LGBTQAI+ Employee Assoc.CYBERSECURITY OVERSIGHT: Oversee strategies, policies, legislative proposals, and plans. Set 5-year vision; led development and budget formulation of Strategic Plan for FY’s 2020-2024.INTELLIGENCE COLLECTION & PRODUCTION / AI, ML: Oversaw modernization of tech solutions for intelligence collection and analysis, developed business cases, and gained approvals for 5-year AI / ML programs started in fiscal 2021.RESOURCE PROPOSAL PROCESS: Overhauled I&A resource proposal process and clarified business goals.TEAM DIRECTION: Lead I&A senior executives and intel professionals, including 4 Deputy Under Secretaries. Develop/monitor performance KPIs. RECORD LOW AUDIT RECOMMENDATIONS: Drove compliance with external audit/oversight, achieving record low levels of outstanding recommendations and unaddressed issues during 2021, 2022, and 2023.
