My path in life was irrevocably changed around the age of 11 or 12 when my parents came home to me with their brand-new Gateway computer (you know, the ones you could buy from TV and cost about as much as a car) opened with parts scattered across the ground. The problem was the SoundBlaster sound card that had come with the computer wasn't working with the game I wanted to play, so I took it upon myself to call Gateway and have them send a new one. I decided that after my parents left the house would be the best time to work on their computer. The look on my father's face (love you Dad) conveyed to me that failing to get this computer back together was not an option.I am happy to report that everything worked out in the end, and I was soon immersed in ultra realistic war time sounds of Battlefield 1942. This event was the catalyst for what is approaching a couple decades long career consisting of me primarily saying "Yeah, I can fix that." Though it has been focused on the tech world, I believe I could have easily been an auto mechanic, a plumber, or a handyman. Which to be fair, the world needs more than another tech guy.I hope what you see when you look at my profile and my work history is the story of someone who got where they are with determination, the willingness to roll up their sleeves and get to work, and of course the love and support of all the wonderful people they met along the way.
