Adam Marr is the Director of Operations at Veteran Mental Health Leadership Coalition (VMHLC), a coalition of partner organizations that aims to prevent suicide and deaths of despair among Veterans and Americans through increased access to safe and affordable psychedelic-assisted therapy. As a coalition founding member, Adam has been instrumental in developing state-based and VA healthcare system expanded access pilot programs for MDMA- and psilocybin-assisted therapy for Veterans struggling with PTSD, depression, suicidality, and related complex co-morbidities.Adam is also a US Army Veteran, a best-selling author, a former management consultant executive, and a passionate advocate for the safe and responsible use of psychedelic therapies. He has over nine years of experience in organizational leadership, team building, and operational planning, as well as a personal and professional interest in the healing potential of these modalities. He co-founded Warrior Angels Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that provides treatment, education, outreach, and research for service members who have suffered multiple traumatic brain injuries. He co-authored the book "Tales from the Blast Factory", which inspired the documentary "Quiet Explosions: Healing the Brain". He also supported the passing of Texas House Bill 1802, which allowed for clinical trials of psilocybin and related therapeutics in Texas. Adam credits his own ibogaine and 5MeODMT protocol as a life-changing experience that helped him reconnect with his Christian faith and address his own combat and service-related traumas.
