I am responsible for developing and delivering Stonewater's Environmental Strategy, which covers all aspects of environmental sustainability, with a strong focus on improving the energy efficiency of both new and existing homes. It is my role to ensure that Stonewater has a long term road map to achieving future standards such as a minimum of EPC Band C and net zero. I also work closely with our development team to identify most suitable approaches to building low carbon homes that are cost effective to run for our customers. I am proud to work for a forward thinking organisation, which also leads to working on innovative projects such as the Energy Superhub Oxford and providing information and evidence for Government departments and Committees.

I joined Stonewater in a newly created position as Sustainability Project Manager. This is the first dedicated Sustainability resource within the organisation and it is my role to embed Sustainability and place an emphasis on improving the energy efficiency of our housing stock and reducing the risk of our residents living in fuel poverty.

Continuing the improvement of energy efficiency across the Partnership's offices following from my role as Eco-Retrofit Manager.In this role I worked closely with Asset Management colleagues to improve the energy efficiency of our circa 60,000 homes to reduce cost for our customers, providing affordable warmth and reducing fuel poverty. I was also responsible for sharing knowledge across the Partnership from energy reduction projects and the monitoring of the performance of new technologies.I assisted in ensuring that the Partnership is compliant with legislation most notably the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, which including the Carbon Reduction Commitment.

In this role I managed a retrofit project across 6 offices with a view to rolling out the project to the remaining 32 offices within the portfolio.Responsibilities included a detailed benchmarking and categorisation exercise to assist the selection of the 6 offices for retrofit, before conducting energy surveys and modelling each building in IES environmental modelling software.Alongside physical works being conducted on offices I developed and managed a network of over 50 Sustainability Champions across the Partnership and developed an online web tool to act as a forum for Champions to communicate and send and receive information such as meter readings.
