I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I am expecting to graduate in the fall of 2025. Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved tinkering and working with my hands. I was always up for a challenge. Typically, I would get involved in a project I didn’t have much knowledge on. This allowed me to acquire many craftsman skills at a young age. As I grew older, I realized my passion for this type of work and knew engineering was for me. Through my work at the Submillimeter-Wave Technology Laboratory, I have developed great interest in machining. My skills with CNC machinery (mills, lathes) have inspired my peers and I to start the Machining Club at UMass Lowell. We founded the club in the fall of 2023, and have had a blast teaching these skills to those interested. My employment with Raytheon allowed me to grow as a leader, which has increased my presentation confidence and overall professionalism. I’ve been applying this leadership experience to the machining club to drive success for our club members. Outside of engineering, I was in the UMass Lowell Marching Band for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. I look forward to the next chapter in my career and meeting new people in the process.
