As Thomas Edison once said “ I haven't failed I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work,” and as Abraham Lincoln said, “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.” Finally, Nelson Mandela said, “Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” These words resonate with me because in life as well as in the construction industry there will be setbacks; however, it is how one learns from experience and how they persist in finding what works. My name is Adam McMasters, I'm a senior at the South-Western Career Academy where I am currently taking the Construction program. I have got my NCCER, First Aid/CPR/AED, and OSHA 10. I have worked with plumbing, drywall, framing, painting, electrical, tile work, roofing, hanging siding, masonry, laminate, and cabinetry.Once I graduate I will be seeking employment in the construction field. I believe I have the necessary skills, leadership, proper attitude, ability to collaborate and work as a team, and a positive mind to better and advance my skills. I feel I would be an valuable asset to any employer.
