People and strategy. Early in my 20-year military career I gained a passion for developing solutions that focus on organizational performance through talent management. Possessing a sound understanding of both people and the strategic vision of an organization must coexist. I pride myself in being a student of people, leadership, and organizational performance. With any organization, you witness an array of leadership styles that either positively influence employees or rob them of all motivation. I have witnessed the impacts of inspirational leaders that inspired their employees and leaders that create a demoralizing culture. Two essential elements were consistent with the leaders that were able to positively influence the actions of others; these leaders had a sound understanding of the importance of people and strategy. As a student of people, leadership, and strategy, I gained an unmatched and insatiable appreciation for both people and strategy lending to my decision to pursue a master's degree in Strategic Leadership with a focus on Strategy. Coupled with my experience and education I have a proven record of accomplishment of employing strategic yet creative management in areas of hospital-based and operational-based healthcare delivery, human resources, recruiting, training, projects, programs, and process improvements.I am grateful for the opportunities I was afforded in the military to oversee and direct multilevel, cross-functional initiatives and develop service members while being a change agent for the organization gaining experience in establishing vision and outlining strategies for achieving organizational mission and short-term/ long-term objectives for complex, evolving environments.
