A former college athlete and biology / pre-med major that started my career in finance and somehow found myself in Agile environments as a scrum master and agile coach beginning in 2016. Over the last several years, I’ve developed a rewarding career mentoring teams and individuals to agile maturity and believe that humility and empathy are two of the most underrated qualities in Corporate America. My experience in servant leadership positions has taught me that leading with trust and vulnerability is paramount in creating genuine and lasting influence with my colleagues, and that leading by example while employing empathy is a truly effective strategy that any leader can implement to develop strong relationships with their teams while they facilitate their growth.A natural introvert that has learned to love building relationships with others, I enjoy taking time away from my corporate life to recharge by traveling, trout fishing, golfing, playing guitar, and downhill skiing. After spending the first few years of my IT career climbing the proverbial ladder and focusing on simply increasing my income in the hopes it would change my lifestyle, I realized that the 40 year plan wouldn’t allow me to live the life I actually desired. Searching for more flexibility and choice than the typical path would offer, I started a couple of side hustles to diversify my income and give myself more control over my time. After developing a strong passion for coaching and mentorship as a scrum master and agile coach, I started Miner Legacy Group to do the same for aspiring side-hustlers that want to get into the entrepreneurial game but, like me, don’t have a business background and need guidance on how to get something of their own off the ground while scaling it effectively to create more choice for themselves long term.
