    Blancco Technology Group plc is a leading global provider of secure data erasure solutions. Blancco were listed on the London Stock Exchange AIM market until being acquired by Francisco Partners in Q4 2023. The value of the company was £50m when I joined in July 2018 and was eventually sold for £175m in 2023. My experience largely revolves around public markets and I took the decision to resign from the role when the acquisition completed and the company went private. I left in December 2023 following a brief handover to my successor.In my role as CFO, I worked closely with the CEO on the strategy for the growth of the company.I joined the company in July 2018 to form part of a new management team with the market capitalisation of the company at c £50m. In the subsequent five years, the company grew revenue from c £27m to almost £50m and grew EBITDA from £5.5m (FY18) to c £12m (FY23).I worked closely with the Board and specifically the CEO on the strategic direction of the company. The business was a complex organisation with operations in 15 countries and customers in over 70 countries. I also took a lead role in the investor relations of the company working closely with our advisors and regular communication with shareholders. I also led M&A activity including the identification of targets, negotiations on terms and associated due diligence.The data erasure solutions offered by the company enable customers to recycle or repurpose IT equipment. This led to Blancco having very strong ESG initiatives which I led and resulted in a number of awards in recognition of those efforts.

    Eckoh are an AIM listed plc with a market capitalisation that increased from £10m in 2010 to £120m in 2017 when I left. The business specialises in hosted Speech recognition and payment security for large blue chip organisations. The role was broad with a number of non-Finance responsibilities coming within the remit such as Legal, Property, Human Resources and Company Secretary.Outline of responsibilities:• Board member determining strategic direction for the company.• Present annual and interim results to shareholders through a series of meetings bi annually in the City. • Work closely alongside key City advisors such as PR & Nomads. Ensure company meets AIM regulatory requirements.• Regularly budget and forecast the progression of the group for internal and external purposes.• Manage a team of fifteen, including two in the US covering responsibility for Finance, HR, legal, property and administration.Specific Achievements:• Oversaw nine successive years of revenue and profit growth and led to a 12x increase in the share price. • Revenue grew from £6m in 2009 to £29m in 2017 and EBITDA grew from a small loss to a profit of £5.8m• Managed the negotiation, management and integration of three multi million acquisitions from 2013 to 2016 (Veritape Limited acquired for up to £10.6m, Product Support Solutions £5.0m and Klick2Contact up to £8.0m)• Managed the disposal of five non core businesses between 2004 and 2010 with a total deal value approaching £20m• Initially recruited as Group Accountant in May 2003, promoted to Financial Controller in May 2004 then swiftly promoted to the formal plc board as Acting Group Finance Director in July 2004. The appointment to Group Finance Director was made permanent in July 2005. The role of Company Secretary for all group companies was added shortly afterwards.• Created US subsidiary, Eckoh Inc in November 2013. Director of the US subsidiary and regularly travelled to the US to manage the development of the company.
