CurrentAdam gained Chartered Building Surveyor status in May 2008 and as a Director of Surveying Solutions has responsibilities for all aspects of client services and business development throughout Scotland. He has provided Building Surveying services to public and private sector clients, including Royal Mail Group, Heriot-Watt University, University of Edinburgh, Scottish Water and Scottish Court Service. Specifically these appointments have covered:-• Project Management of Alteration and Refurbishment Contracts• Contract Administration• Statutory Compliance / Approvals - Building Warrant, Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent• CDM Advisory Services• Architectural Design• Measured Surveys• Fabric Condition Surveys• Reinstatement Cost Assessments for Insurance Purposes• HMO Licensing• Fire Risk AssessmentsAdam has fulfilled the roles of Professional Advisor, Designer and Contract Administrator for various projects including office refurbishments, industrial fit-outs, shop fit-outs, re-roofing/external repair schemes and fire reinstatement works. Tasks undertaken in these roles include preparation of specifications and contract drawings, procurement of contractors, monitoring and quality checking of site works, processing of contractor valuations and negotiating final accounts.An in-depth knowledge of the Scottish Building Regulations, together with skills in computer-aided drawing enables Adam to produce detailed drawings in order to secure Building Warrants. He has assisted many retail and restaurateur clients to secure Building Warrants for their fit -outs within tight timescales.
