I coordinate the Environmental Monitoring and Research portfolio for the Northern Contaminants Program, funding top quality research across the Canadian Arctic. At the NCP we strive to reduce and, wherever possible, eliminate contaminants in traditionally harvested foods in Northern peoples. We work in collaboration with Indigenous partners to monitor the environment and wildlife and to provide information that allows Northerners and their communities to make informed decisions on food use. I am also invested in and passionate about communications, outreach, capacity building and education of people from all backgrounds across the North and work with my colleagues, partners, and friends to advance the leadership roles of Indigenous peoples in Arctic science.
