Since joining Aptec in 2014 I have received a great deal of training in a wide range of areas. I started out with a view to being quality manager however, the planning skills I have shown have lead me down the route of production. I have lead a continuous improvement team carrying out 5’s activities, evaluating the 7 wastes and making process changes to take away some manual handling as well as improving efficiency. I have carried out multiple internal audits working to ISO 9001 2008 and on to 2015. I have attended courses to assist me with my internal auditing ran through AQCT. I have been on team leadership courses helping me to understand how to get the best out of the employees in my department as well as motivational techniques and dealing with difficult people. I have attended courses for finance tips for non financial managers to give me a better understanding. I have completed a level 3 in applied science and a level 2 in performing manufacturing operations as part of my apprenticeship. I am currently carrying out my NEBOSH general certificate which I hope to complete early 2019. I really enjoy my current job however, if something comes along in which I have great interest with a lucrative package then I would definitely consider a change.
