Risk Transfer Specialist
Current-Compile the underwriting information necessary to assist our brokers in developing bid specifications for the purchase of the CUNA Mutual Group risk transfer programs managed by the Risk Transfer Department.-Review and analyze all corporate insurance policies, bonds and ceded reinsurance treaties to determine if the policy / treaty wording provisions and endorsements are accurate and satisfy the standards outlined in the bid specifications.-Contact reinsurance brokers and insurance companies to correct errors or discrepancies which may surface during the review and analysis.-Authorized to report and monitor CUNA Mutual Group corporate property, business auto and general liability claims and assist with bordereau reporting requirements under our insurance policies.-Independently investigate, administer, track and settle CUNA Mutual Group self-insured property, business auto and general liability claims within delegated limits of authority.-Remaining and staying technically strong in a rapidly changing insurance industry pertaining to commercial insurance and executive liability insurance programs.-Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external brokers and insurance carriers pertaining to requests for information, CUNA Mutual Group corporate policy changes and settlement of corporate loss claims.-Support the fulfillment of all corporate requests from other departments related to responding to rating agency, external auditor or departments of insurance requests for information necessary to perform their analyses of CUNA Mutual Group operations.-Review and analyze new and revised State and Federal regulations and laws which may present new or added liability exposures to the CUNA Mutual Group global operations.-Assist in due diligence audits for the acquisition, affiliation or merger of new companies or joint ventures. Assist management to establish new corporate policies and programs as required by new laws and regulations.
