I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford, and a Tutorial Fellow at Brasenose College. Previously I held positions at Queen Mary University of London, the University of Aberdeen, and the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. I hold degrees in law and economics from Canadian universities, and BCL, MPhil, and DPhil degrees from the University of Oxford. I have been a visiting researcher at Yale University, and a visiting research scholar at the University of Melbourne. My areas of interest are administrative law, constitutional law, and jurisprudence. I have published in these areas in leading British law journals, including the Cambridge Law Journal, Law Quarterly Review, Modern Law Review, Public Law, and the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies. I have presented my work at conferences on law, philosophy, and political science in Australia, Britain, Canada, India, Italy, New Zealand, and the United States. My current research interests include constitutional statutes, constitutional conventions, and the prerogative of mercy. I would welcome discussion about any of these topics.
