The primary role of the Lead Packaging Production Engineer is to ensure the department will run smoothly and is well organized. Distribute the workload to appropriate individuals. Work closely with Operations to ensure an efficient production process. Provide Operations with clear and reliable production specifications derived from customer requirements combined with the production history of similar items. Provide on-going technical support to the Operations and Sales teams. The position is also responsible for job bag preparation, materials requisitions, materials purchasing, and production optimization.

Work directly with the Estimating, Design and Sales departments to capture all production specifications and customer requirements to assure Operations accurately and efficiently completes the manufacturing process.

Responsible for machine setup and running stock efficiently and accurately. Job tasks included; operating die cutting and foil stamping presses and pulling retains verifying work according to proofs. In addition to these duties, conducting new die construction was an essential role with this position.

Helped with the planning of USPS package and design work. This project involved packaging for precious cargo with EPS (expanded polystrene) cushioning dots inside 3 different size computer cartons. Also helped with the cold chain project which involved shipping test sending frozen good cross country. This was an intermintent roll as an assistant.

Maintains vehicle functional condition, diagnosing customer complaints, responsible for conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
