As part of the The Department of Operational Excellence (D.O.E.), I help support the organization in its efforts to improve processes using data and tools of Lean and Six Sigma, as well as to support decision-making and roll-out of new business ventures. Specifically, the department is responsible for:· 0verseeing the roll-out and education of operational excellence tool sets such as Lean and Six Sigma through the organization’s Quest for Excellence to continue driving to a culture of continuous improvement· Overseeing the operations planning and operational design of a new 100-bed hospital· Facilitating highly strategic operational improvement projects across the organization· Providing support to large business projects, such as investments in new services and equipment, at a corporate level· Creating a project management infrastructure for process improvement work across the organization that will provide tools to all types of existing project teams as well as coordination among teams
