I was promoted from Admissions Ambassador to Ambassador (case manager). In this role, I provide a safe space while building healthy relationships with men that are experiencing homelessness in an effort to help them become rooted in community, retain sustainable employment and find secure housing. This includes but is not limited to helping with job searches, encouraging individuals to enter the Make Progress Program, or seek recovery at the Potter's House. I also input data into Salesforce to accurately capture clients information and progress, work closely with volunteers, and lead classes on varying topics.

I worked with students grades K5-12th from the English Avenue Community. I prepared and implemented lesson plans; as well as, assisted students with their homework needs in a tutoring setting. I also worked closely with volunteers to ensure that all students tutoring needs were met. *This was a part-time role.

While working at CHaRM, I managed individuals with court ordered community service, informed the public on the benefits of recycling, assisted customers with their recycling, collected monetary fees and donations, and ensured a safe disposal of hard to recycle materials.

During this year long Christian service and volunteer program, I was able to serve with Cafe 458 and the New Life S.A.Y Yes! After school Program. My team was also partnered with a local church, and became deeply involved in the lives of our neighbors in the English Avenue community. After a year of serving as a team member in Mission Year, I was asked to lead a team of 6 individuals in spiritual and relational development. During my second year I had the opportunity to develop my skills in leadership, communication, organization, and much more. I volunteered at the Atlanta Community ToolBank where I would be hired after I finished my time with Mission Year.
