As a new member of the Air Force, was put in a position of responsibility and leadership. Maintained refueling equipment, performed preventative maintenance as well as general maintenance. Maintained quality control on over 67 million gallons of jet fuel ensuring stock did not deteriorate. Monitored 48 hour offload of several 3.7 million gallon barges. After moving to Florida I was immediately tasked with maintaining our MSDS book and ensured all hazardous waste was disposed of according to Federal and State regulations. I coordinated fueling requirements with cooperating agencies. Performed maintenance on specialized fuel vehicles and support equipment. Established and managed lock out/tag out programs at both duty stations. Monitored manning documents and adjusted personnel to authorized positions. Key player in rewrite of several technical publications. Supervised a team of 4 other Airmen. Ensuring the thoroughness of preventative maintenance inspections as well as timely delivery of fuel to awaiting aircraft between missions.
