Hello my name is Adam Rogerson. I’m 20 years old and I live in Weston-super-Mare town centre. I’m currently finishing my apprenticeship in level 2 customer service and sales. I have been doing this for the last 18 months and It has really improved my skills in sales and marketing as well as dealing with customers. I have experience using different elements on a computer, interacting with customers, sales and marketing knowledge as well as having excellent time keeping and organisation skills. I am looking for a job where I will be able to use all my skills on a daily basis to help improve customers experience and help the business improve.I am a genuine hard working lad who strives when working in both a group and individually. I do enjoy being accompanied in the work place purely for the fact I am very friendly, upbeat person who has found that having experienced people around me who I can learn important skills from is vital for success in a new environment. I am a very organised individual who aims to have the important aspects of my life in order as I find it just helps everything run better. Sales ApprenticeDavan Caravans Limited May 2019 - Aug 2020The course I studied was a level 2 customer service and sales apprenticeship. As this was an apprenticeship there was two parts to the job. 1. going to my work place and 2. going to college. At davan my main responsibilities where checking in new vehicles, booking them in and making price boards, stock numbers etc. I also was in charge of checking and answering certain emails, answering the phone, filing paper work and helping customers. There was also a lot of outdoor/ indoor shows through out the year which I always took part in and I really felt this helped me gain vital skills and helped me increase my confidence. It also gave me a good insight into the world of sales and dealing with customers under pressure to sell. The college side of it consisted of assignments and submitting evidence in regards to the work I did at davan. The assignments related to what I learned at college that week. I went to college fortnightly in Bristol at reflections college. -
Warehouse OperativeClick Spares Aug 2018 - Dec 2018Weston-Super-Mare, England, United KingdomAt click spares I had there main duties. The first was moving the flat pack furniture in its individual parts to allocated places around the warehouse. I would then scan them so the lockers would know the exact location of items. My second job was unpacking the big crates of items and laying them out into piles ready to be assigned a stock number. My third job was to pack and wrap crates of unneeded/ old stock. I enjoyed my time at click spares as it was a physical job which I’ve always enjoyed. It gave me a good insight into how companies such as Argos work as we were supplying them with flat pack furniture. -

I Managed to get the job in April just before the summer rush hit Weston. From day 1 it was busy as there was a take away, phone service and a restaurant . My job role was a waiter in the restaurant. I would be in charge of seating people when they came in, taking orders, making the beverages, serving/ clearing the food and taking payments. I was also in charge of helping clean down at the end of service and prepping before by making tar tar sauce and the batter for the fish etc. I had a good time here and met some lovely people both fellow employees and customers. I also occasionally worked on the front take away which was always more intense as customers taking away expect there food quicker than those sitting in. -

As the beefeater is a well know busy restaurant there was 3 kitchen assistants most nights when i worked. My responsibilities where; prepping salads and a selection of starters before service, washing up during service as well as giving a hand to the front line if they need anything topping up etc. I was also in charger of helping tidy down at the end of the night and sweeping and mopping just before leaving. -

A friend from college said they was hiring so I applied and luckily got the job. At first I was working in one of the largest cafes serving hot food behind the counter and also cleaning and whipping tables. After a few month I went over to the drinks Cafe Which served costa drinks. I stayed over there for a few months where I was trained how to make the drinks, taking payments, making the select food that was on the menu as well as helping clear and tidy the cafe. In the last few months on the pier I worked upstairs in a cafe that was connected to a child play area. Again my duties here where to make drinks, serve ice cream order food from downstairs and take payments for the play area. It was also very important I always made customers and there children sign in and out when they visited the play area for health and safety reasons.
