About Adam Rousell

After obtaining a 1st Class Honours degree in Computing from DeMontfort University, I moved into the GIS field by undertaking the GIS MSc course at the University of Leicester having received funding from the NERC obtaining a Distinction level result. I then worked as a Web Application Developer at Xibis Ltd, a web development company in Leicester. I remained in this position for ten months before being offered a fully funded scholarship at the University of Leicester to undertake my PhD studies in navigation and perception in virtual reality.Over my academic and commercial career I have had experience with programming languages and technologies including:ASP.Net (C#), C++, OpenGL, Java, Visual Basic, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Perl.My primary research interests are in the visualisation of data, navigation, Virtual Reality and the perception of the urban environment.Specialties: Web development, GIS, Perception in VR
