High-scale construction renovations in Toronto Canada employed for general construction purposes and various project supervision. Projects specializing in Commercial, Industrial, and high-end Residential. I was initially hired as a general labourer but after quickly applying myself to the role and the skills gained, my duties and responsibilities increased.Duties Included:• Reporting to the project manager for daily tasks and targets.• Developing general construction skills quickly and confidently applying these skills independently.• Actively engaging with team members to complete complex tasks that require physical and technical contributions.• Taking project leadership and being the site point of contact when required.• Nominated site safety regulator – Working at Heights training, ladder safety awareness, and mobile elevating work platform safety awareness.• Project material calculating for orders.• Client engagement and ensuring high-quality work.• Blueprint and architectural drawing reading – engaging with other trades such as electricians and plumbers.

This was a six-month work placement as part of my degree and I was hired by Stryker Neurovascular Cork in a Manufacturing Operations role. I was initially hired into the CBS Value Stream but was then assigned to the New Product Development section of Stent Braiding. I gained fast experience stepping into the role of conducting an operations team. The main responsibilities included coordinating daily tasks with build request trackers, reporting daily progress to the team, engaging with engineers and project managers, while also communicating and motivating the operations team. I was actively involved in the development of a new production room, engaging with team members to apply 6S standards to the area. This was a fast-paced environment where each day was never the same and came with new challenges. I am grateful for the fantastic experience I received as a student and allowed me to greatly apply myself to the industry and meet some great people along the way.
