Upon completion of my apprenticeship, I was offered a permenant role within the company.Since then, I have continued my development and progressed into a vital member of a small team responsible for supporting all of our hospitality venues' IT systems and requirements. I have taken on a number of responsibilities, including Barracuda Firewall Setup and Administration, Server Backups, SharePoint and Office 365 Administration, Email Security and Mobile MDM Management.

I joined the Cairn Group as a Junior IT member in September 2016, whilst completing my Level 3 MCSA Apprenticeship with Baltic Training I was able to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout my apprenticeship, directly to my job supporting the users and systems across our hospitality venues.The group also acquired a number of hotels during this period, to which I was part of the IT team which was tasked with inheriting, onboarding & upgrading / replacing the venues infrastructure to bring them in line with company standards. This included frequent site visits at each venue, and gave me invaluable experience and insight into hospitality IT infrastructure.
