Selected Project: Technical/Business Analysis - Halifax Transit Technology Program (AVL+ Phase)This multi-year program aims to implement new transit technology and associated business processes to support existing internal Halifax Transit workflows as well as improve the public’s access to transit information. The AVL+ Project phase includes the implementation of a suite of technology for Automated Vehicle Location and Computer Aided Dispatch, along with Departures Boards and Bay Signs at all terminals, a replacement telephone based Departures Line, Stop Announcements Annunciation, LED displays, and Automated Passenger Counters for each bus in the fleet.Responsibilities:* Led the design and configuration of the public facing transit technologies: 21 Departures Boards and 14 LED Departures Bay Signs* Schedule and execute the deployment of the Departures Boards to the bus terminals* Coordinate with the client, project team, and technology vendor to rectify identified software issues and ensure Halifax Transit is receiving a quality product* Create and run test cases for multiple transit technologies including Departures Boards, Departures Bay Signs, Service Notifications, and Automated Vehicle Announcements
