Recruited a coalition of faith leaders in support of preserving healthcare for all Kansans. Developed the site leadership training curriculum and logistics plan for the Get Out the Vote efforts.

Sought strategic pathways to target US Senators with the goal of persuading them to support federal nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people. Managed communications to and mobilization of over 1,000 organizational coalition members. Developed and implemented outreach strategies for key audience-of-one campaigns.

Recruited 10 staff members from strategic demographic and geographic areas to serve Oklahomans in the Oklahoma City office. Served as their day-to-day direct supervisor.Planned and led a constituency service program that recovered over $3.5-million from nearly 3,000 federal cases, earning a spot as a finalist from Congressional Management Foundation for our outstanding service. Led a long-term strategic outreach plan, including execution of over 50 town hall meetings, earning ranking as one of the most accessible Congressional member offices by The Town Hall Project.

Utilized policy expertise and strong relationships with our state partners and national organizations to improve state policy advocacy efforts to defeat anti-LGBTQ legislation and pass proactive protections for LGBTQ people. Constructed a nationwide LGBTQ+ state policy tracking system, facilitated ongoing strategy strategy sessions for national and state partners, and provided on-the-job training to state partners across America.Served on steering committees for successful ballot measures to protect nondiscrimination laws in Massachusetts and Anchorage, Alaska. Designed and implemented the Advocacy and Civic Engagement Program by leveraging the Equality Federation’s proprietary voter file model. Served as the Organizing Director for the Summer of Action, which was a multi-state campaign simulation focused on reducing bias toward transgender people. Our results were studied by academics from Stanford and UC-Berkeley, who then published their findings in the American Political Science Review.

Managed a key component of the campaign that won marriage equality in America. Ran $1-million public education earned media and grassroots mobilization effort.Cultivated relationships with 14 state organizations to support their local marriage equality organizing, arming them with necessary resources at the state and local level. Amplified their work on the national level, utilizing stories of Southerners calling for the freedom to marry.
