About Adam Stephenson, Phd

I am a project leader, a highly skilled Biologist and Chemist for early- and late-stage drug discovery projects. I specialise in in-vitro and in-vivo compound profiling, SAR development (potency, efficacy, DMPK, PKPD) and mode of action studies to bring targets from validated leads to nominated development candidates. I am an experienced Project Manager who has delivered on the leadership of multi-disciplinary teams across multiple projects, identification and management of CROs across international sites, and driven projects and programs to ensure project objectives are achieved. I have worked on partnered programs with large pharma that resulted in a ~$1B USD partnership. I have skills building and strengthening partnerships with multidisciplinary teams of scientists (Chemistry, Biology, DMPK, Formulation, BA) developing both small molecule and peptide-based therapeutics for GI restricted (α4β7 integrin, IL23R, Opioid receptors) and systemic targets (Ferroportin, IL23R, Bradykinin receptors, Melanocortin receptors). I have a strong understanding of drug development and clinical trial processes and I have been an integral player in the development of five clinical compounds which are currently in phase III clinical studies.

Listed skills include Chemistry, Spectroscopy, Nmr, Uv/Vis, and 27 others.
