MedCerts is a public-company owned (Stride: LRN) technology-enabled education company helping students gain marketable skills for in-demand careers.In this role I am managing all Finance and Accounting functions for the business including accounting operations, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. I am working across departments to develop and execute on operational strategies to grow the business to $100M in revenue (25% EBITDA margins) by FY'2026 through the expansion of a newly established B2B revenue channel. ⇨ I am leading a geographically dispersed operations team consisting of finance and accounting professionals, sales administrative resources, and business intelligence analysts that combine to create a cohesive and unified function that supports the business from end to end at scale. This has led to the scalable support of 30+% annual top-line growth.⇨ Operationally, I have led the implementation of NetSuite as the company's ERP system which allows us to seamlessly integrate dataflow from SalesForce to streamline invoicing, revenue recognition, AR collections, and vendor payables. PeopleGrove is a rapidly growing, private equity backed (The Riverside Company) SaaS business delivering products to higher-education institutions allowing them to provide career services to their student population at scale. As CFO at PeopleGrove, I led the business through its transition into private-equity ownership which included developing a private-equity approved operating plan/budget, coordinating its first-ever financial statement audit, and conducting acquisitions as part of a roll-up investment strategy in the industry.⇨ Served as the strategic leader and head of the company’s Finance, HR, and Legal department and played a crucial role in guiding the business through its transition into private equity ownership and management.⇨ Completed multiple strategic acquisitions as part of a roll-up investment strategy to rapidly gain market share within the ed-tech space.⇨ Developed the business’ first operating budget under private equity ownership through a combination of bottoms up and tops down methodologies to accurately forecast top-line growth year over year.⇨ Established processes, operating functions, and reporting mechanisms that align with company-wide objectives that systematically track progress towards operational and strategic KPIs including bookings by customer segment, ACV, LTV/CAC, churn, and upsell.⇨ Led a global business with multiple subsidiaries through its first-ever financial statement audit, receiving a clean and unqualified opinion.

ExpertVoice is a venture-backed (Bain Capital Ventures) software company disrupting the marketing industry with leading edge technology.In my role as Vice President of Finance, I acted as the strategic finance and operations leader for the business and was responsible for all finance, accounting, HR, legal, and FP&A functions. I managed a full team of high performing professionals that supported a growing business through a successful exit in Q1 2022.⇨ Acted as the strategic head of the company’s finance department, leading the business to a successful private-equity led exit in early 2022.⇨ Responsible for all FP&A functions of the business including the development and curation the company’s annual forecasted financial statements and measurement of actual results to budget.⇨ Analyzed historical trends and met company-wide goals and KPIs to develop and applied operational strategies and deliver detailed monthly and quarterly reports of business trends and analysis with commentary for review of the board of directors.⇨ Executed and presented effective corporate annual budget and forecast of $30M business to board for the utilization to restructure company’s debt facility in early 2020.

Degreed is a rapidly growing, global SaaS business in the EdTech space with over $100M in ARR and a $1.4B valuation.As VP Finance/Corporate Controller, I spearheaded business and finance operations across the multiple foreign entities, including India, Netherlands, and the UK, while providing and reporting results in a consolidated and unified financial reporting package. I also drove significant challenges associated with accounting operations within the business, including revenue recognition, equity management, and financial statement review. Along all of these, I oversaw accounting and integration endeavors for the acquisition of a multi-million dollar, wholly owned subsidiary. In my role as Controller, I dealt with all activities of accounting/finance department, such as AP, AR/credit and collections, payroll, HR, fixed assets, federal, state, and local taxes. While serving a support role in company’s series D funding, I supported the acquisition of a subsidiary company and the consolidation of its operations.⇨ Implemented a new cloud-based ERP system (NetSuite) and integrated it with the company's CRM (Salesforce). Peterson Partners is a Private Equity/Venture Capital Firm managing combined assets in excess of $750 million across 8 different funds.In this past role, I controlled all activities regarding finance for fund’s operating company, including payroll, AR, AP, cash management, and financial statement preparation that facilitated seven private equity funds and three venture capital funds in total. As well as, I conducted valuations of portfolio investments as per ASC 820 (FAS 157). Additionally, I compiled relevant data and assessed investment results through the collaboration closely with portfolio company CEO’s and CFO’s. I drafted detailed monthly reporting against detailed operating budgets and forecasts.⇨ Appreciated for crafting and evaluating annual financial statements for managed fund, while ensuring timely closings, annual reporting, independent audits, and GAAP compliance.⇨ Aligned and monitored the entity’s registration process with SEC under Dodd Frank legislation along with compliance examination of the operating company conducted by the SEC.⇨ Built and maintained relationships with bankers, auditors, lawyers, insurance agents, and other key service providers as primary manager.
