Actuarial/Data Science • Lead development of an ‘exposure file’ in SQL to improve actuarial analysis, comprised of all risk bearing premiums, attributes of the policies and coverages, along with any claims on the specific policies • Work directly with the VP of Claims on a project to improve MedPro’s large loss protocol by performing descriptive analysis of current claims, identifying various discrepancies in the process, and identifying additional variables that predict large losses using Python and predictive modelingData Warehouse and Reporting • Support data requests of all areas of the business • Develop ETL scripts in SQL to move data into the new policy data warehouse • Support finance teams to reconcile data on premium numbers to be used for internal and external reporting • Develop result data sets used for core metrics reports • Create data visualizations in Business Objects and Tableau for all divisions of the business for quarterly operating reviews • Develop and provide production support for Business Object reports, and Tableau dashboards • Administer the SAP Business Objects and Tableau systems used for enterprise wide reportingEnterprise Infrastructure Overhaul • Run workshops with business users of all departments to create use cases and develop process maps for the new CRM implementation • Work with internal team and outside vendor to profile data from all systems and build a data model accordingly, to implement a new MDM solution
