In my current role as Head of Operations, I am responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the company. This includes overseeing all business functions, developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and efficiency, and ensuring that the company is operating at its highest potential.As Head of Operations, I have a diverse set of responsibilities that include managing targets, leading cross-functional teams, and driving process improvement initiatives. I am also responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers.Despite my focus on strategic leadership and management, I still maintain a hands-on approach to software development and other tactical aspects of the business. This allows me to stay connected to the day-to-day operations of the company and ensure that we are able to maintain an agile approach to meeting the needs of our clients and partners.

In the role as a Software Developer and Trainer, I was responsible for building software conversions to migrate data from a client's previous software into our system, training their staff on the new platform, and ensuring new features were developed as required. I was also responsible for training new staff at the company.I excelled in this role by leveraging my strong technical skills and ability to think strategically to develop efficient and effective software solutions. I was able to build software conversions that seamlessly migrated data from one system to another, ensuring a smooth transition for the client.In addition to my technical responsibilities, I also played a key role in training staff on the new platform. During my time on secondment between the Learning and Skills Council and the EU Projects team, I had the opportunity to work on a number of exciting projects, including the design and prototyping of systems for the European Social Fund (ESF) and Investors in People.My work on the ESF front end was particularly impactful, as it quickly gained popularity and was translated into seven different languages, becoming widely used by organizations for their funding applications.Through this project, I was able to demonstrate my ability to design and prototype systems that meet the needs of a diverse range of users and organizations. My strong technical skills, combined with my ability to think creatively and solve problems, allowed me to make a significant contribution to the success of these projects.

As a technical specialist and developer for Iomega, I had the opportunity to travel the world and work with large corporate clients to solve and code a variety of technical problems. As Head of Development at Dixons Stores Group, I reported directly to the Board of Directors and was responsible for leading the development, design, and implementation plan for a new EPOS system, which replaced the old WISE 520 terminals used throughout the group. This was my first leadership role, and I gained valuable experience in process management and leadership through guidance and mentorship from Baron Kalms. I remain grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow in this role.
