I have worked on the following three projects:HAMIDA BARMAKI Ph.D PROGRAMMEA Ph.D. Programme for Afghan Jurists, focused on several public universities (particularly those in Mazar-e Sharif, Herat and Kabul), which offers 14 talented and committed Afghan law lecturers the opportunity to support their faculties with the attainment of a Ph.D. The holders will thus be in a position to offer postgraduate law courses in Afghanistan within the next few years. The programme also supports particularly outstanding Afghan jurists in order to maintain high standards of legal scholarship and expertise, especially in the fields of governance and public affairs.PAKISTAN ULAMA' PROJECTA project aimed at promoting the compatibility of Islam and modern society by equipping members of Pakistan's religious establishment with basic knowledge of law. This project encourages more than sixty Ulama', whose views are influential in Pakistani society, to engage in socio-legal debates within the country in an informed manner. It is designed as a series of taught modules on fundamental aspects of international law, constitutional law and their relationships with Islamic law, and postgraduate research methodology.AFGHANISTAN-PAKISTAN COLLABORATIVE PROJECTA cross-border initiative involving Pakistan and Afghanistan that facilitates dialogue between their legal communities through collaborative learning and research. By targeting female law students and recent graduates, this project involves both taught modules on advanced aspects of public international law and international criminal law and joint research, writing and presentations by the Pakistani and Afghan participants together.
