A newly created role in the Trading & Investment unit where I was responsible for establishing and curating a digital domain inclusion list. Defining the quality of digital inventory was a key focus of this process, innovating a quantifiable, data driven method to ensure clients only appeared in brand safe and strong performing environments. I created logic that combined ad verification data, attention data, carbon emissions data and DSP data, with an additional layer of manual vetting, to qualify domains for inclusion. This project was highly successful, culminating in over 90% of all GroupM programmatic delivery using the inclusion list.

I ran the data team at MediaCom Direct, where our focus on accountability helped contribute to the success of the department which rapidly grew in size. I was promoted to Associate Director and Director levels during this period. These promotions gave me my first experience of contributing to overall business strategy, and helped broaden my knowledge outside of direct response. The promotions also helped develop my skills in managing up, as well as down.As scale of data was increasing it was at this time that I began developing tools and automated solutions to help reduce manual workloads.

I joined The Media Business as the sole data resource in the 10 person direct response team. This role helped develop my relationship management skills, being responsible for prioritising requests from all team members. It also gave me the opportunity to learn all aspects of what makes for a successful direct response campaign, from creative execution, through data capture, accurate response attribution and optimisation based on historical performance. Skills that I used throughout my career. The Media Business was highly successful at this time and gave me my first opportunity to start growing a team and experience of managing and developing others.
