Responsibilities: Responsible for the day to day running of the State ForestsOrganizations, which comprises of 17 regional directorates and 430 forestdistrict offices, employing close to 26 0000 of people.Developing management and business plans, creating and maintaining linkswith government, politicians, stakeholders, including NGOs and the forestindustry organisations. Representing the State Forests and liaising with officialsof government departments, administration and regulatory bodies.Reviewing, refining and developing the strategy and direction of the StateForests, planning and executing the State Forests national and internationalactivities, incl. planning of budget, time schedules and human resources.Representing the State Forests at different international forums, including abroad range of EU environmental developments as well as the UN initiatives insupport of legality, governance and sustainability. Serving as a Member of theGoverning Council of the European State Forest Association (EUSTAFOR), thatrepresent one third of the European Union’s forest area.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the day to day management of the regionaldirectorate office and management of forest area of 324,5 thousands ha., withan annual timber cutting at the level of 1.5 million of m 3 . Supervising 23 forestdistricts, keeping an inventory, monitoring forest conditions, keeping andupdating data on the size of forest area and timber resources, monitoring andforecasting the level of fire hazard and other occurrence of insect pest anddiseases of trees. Organising and supervising timber sale market.Responsible for implementation of FSC, PEFC certification schemes.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the day to day management of the regionaloffice of the Bureau for Forest Management and Geodesy - the main contractorof forest management plans, including habitat inventories and analyses.Setting out the directions in the forest management and research strategies forthe forest inventory and monitoring systems.Directly supervising the regional office staff (between 70 – 100).Responsible for planning and executing the Bureau’s activities, including:• carry out of the periodic national forest inventory,• updating of forest resource assessment,• performing the tasks of environmental monitoring, preparing protection plansfor national parks and nature reserves,• inventories of Natura 2000 protection areas and other studies related tonature conservation and environmental protection,• development of geodetic documentation, phytosociological and also in thefield of forest engineering.

Responsibilities: The Coordination Center for Environmental Projects (CCEP)is an organizational unit of the State Forests acting as the implementingauthority for the EU Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment aswell as Life projects. Support and coordination of processes and projectsrelevant to EU funding dedicated to rural development and environment, overallsupervision and assessment of the project management carried out by theRDSF sub-units. Reviewing forestry procedures, structures and activities inaccordance with the EU regulations. Responsible for planning and budgeting.
