During my time with Max Planck I was tasked with gathering behavioral and genetic data regarding western chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes verus) living in the forests of Ghana. This role involved making all of the necessary arrangements with national park authorities as well as hiring and training local assistants. I was responsible for training these local workers in various census and biodiversity monitoring techniques. Data entry and management was also part of my role in Ghana.
