Writing and conducting research for evaluation reports on our clients seeking employment, education or professional licensure in Accounting (MA only) in the U.S. Reports determined the educational equivalence of a client when compared to U.S. secondary and post-secondary education standards. Also advised clients with questions about their educational background or CED's services.

For this position I worked in the transcripts office, a part of Northeastern University's Office of the Registrar. Duties included printing and mailing of transcripts, helping students with questions regarding their transcripts, updating an Excel spreadsheet that logged mailings and transcript requests, and helping students and parents via telephone with questions regarding transcripts, grades, or direction to other services provided by the Office of the Registrar. This position improved my customer service skills, as well as office skills such as database maintenance and interpersonal skills.

As an evaluator trainee I created reports that chronicled the educational history of people from abroad searching for work or further education in the United States. This process included researching the educational system of a person's home country, translating their degree and grades into U.S. terms, and often consulting and helping clients via telephone with their questions or concerns. This was a really good first job, as it taught me better office skills for a small business, interpersonal skills, and made me more productive at researching and writing.
