Research Manager, Global Datasphere And Global Storagesphere
CurrentResearch Manager for IDC’s Global DataSphere and Global StorageSphere research programs. Responsible for the Global DataSphere (which quantifies and analyzes the amount of data created, captured, and replicated in any given year across the world) and also for the Global StorageSphere (which is a measure of the installed base of storage capacity worldwide, and the amount of data stored in any given year). The research segments data creation across a number of metrics, including the location of data creation, the type of device creating and/or storing data, cloud and noncloud, data type, data creator and/or custodian, vertical industry, and structured versus unstructured. Further, this research tracks the installed base of storage by six media types (HDD, SSD, NVM-NAND, NVM-other, optical, and tape) and how much of the installed base of storage is being utilized to store data.
