My experience with Nalco gained me a reputation as an outstanding service representative and provided me with an abundance of skills useful to any chemistry-based industry.After Nalco I devoted volunteer work as an editor and organizer and accomplished a personal goal of writing and publishing a novel. Both activities have taught me new skills that require a significant amount of discipline, self-starting, and outside-the-box thinking. The experience has expanded my horizons and led to a new level of taking charge.For close to three years I happily applied my new confidence to my passion of solving technical problems for Garratt-Callahan Company, an organization in the water, waste, and boiler treatment industries. When the time came, I applied that same passion to ICD High Performance Coatings.At ICD I found my stride: a manufacturing environment allowing me to indulge in the joy of turning chaos into productive efficiencies from the ground up. I have found that I truly shine when a need is so complex, or a process so new, that it requires entrepreneurial thinking. It’s not unlike writing fiction where you start with ideas, plot your story, and finish with a creative resolution.And speaking of writing, I’ve now published another two books and several short stories.
