Starting at Thomson Course Technology, designed and started the ILT Series of instruct-led, computer software training manuals. Recruited entire development team, and led it through the development and production of over 700 titles in under 9 years. As Product Manager, provided marketing and sales support that saw the product line grown from $0 to $14.

Wrote nearly 200 restaurant reviews and food articles. Won two food writing awards from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies. Conceived, edited, and wrote for “Family Valued,” a weekly page devoted to family issues.

Generated and developed leads, closed sales, and managed development of custom curriculum projects for customers such as Fidelity Investments, AMOCO, and Arthur Andersen. Managed third-party courseware acquisition, negotiating contracts, providing information to sales, and managing production of books.

Lead designer for four computer-based training programming courses. Re-engineered scripting process to improve workflow. Wrote 1500 pages of script in less than 9 months.

Wrote over 20 courses on Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, operating systems, and more. In 1993, began writing PC Learning Labs series of self-paced software trade books for Ziff-Davis Press. Promoted in 1994 to be manager of the PC Learning Labs team.
