I am passionate about Architecture and integrating sustainable systems (both passive and active) into aesthetically pleasing architectural forms. My current area of research as it relates to Architecture is in a gardening/farming technique called aquaponics. Aquaponics is a systems that uses the fish waste to provide the beneficial microbiology for the plants to grow. These types of system are very efficient with both energy, water and time input and the results are quite amazingI have been researching way to integrate these types of systems into Architecture in order to provide a means for structures to give back to their local communities by producing food in urban and suburban conditions. The biophilic properties of these types of systems help to reconnect people to nature by bringing nature back into the structures and using its beneficial properties to create better spaces.
