Accountable for a $10M R&D budget and a product line that supported over $3.0B in revenue. ★ Key Achievements★ ● Drove multiple initiatives and projects to modernize and streamline legacy cloud services into a multi-tiered Mirco-Service based eco-system. ● Successfully rebuilt and upskilled teams across the USA and Australia over a 2 year period, this resulted in reduced backlog, predictable releases and frictionless support process. ● Streamlined release processes that supported FDA and MDR requirements for medical software, this resulted in releases being streamlined from months to weeks. ● Contributed in a hands on manner to bug triage and product priority sessions, balancing the product roadmap and vision with the daily needs of supporting a live service. ● Created a vision and plans to reduce costs and support burdens for key product AWS services.

BuildingIQ was the first market mover in AI driven building management systems, Predictive Energy Optimization (PEO). Through the combination of our technology platform – 5i and its self-learning algorithms BuildingIQ optimized and operated building conditions providing improved NABERS and LEED ratings as well as longer lasting HVAC assets. As the VP of Engineering I provided the drive and leadership to bring to market the 5i platform and services that enable today’s buildings to be smarter and greener. Our technology stack range was JAVA, python and MatLAB using timeseries datastores and PostgreSQL DB. I managed a team of 25+ Software Development, Data Science and Operations Teams. ★ Achievements are vast and many a few are listed below★ ● Created and expanded the Data Science team which drove R&D grant initiatives and our flagship ML/AI feature sets using reinforced learning, regression analysis and many other advanced ML modeling techniques. ● Integrated 3 cloud based platforms and services into a single offering reducing costs and maintenance overhead. ● Championed and built one of the first mobile comfort apps for integration with AI models and continuous model refinement. ● Completed and participated in 3 successful fund raising rounds and 2 large M&A activities, leading the engineering and technical diligence

OpenTV (now a wholly owned entity in the Kudelski Group), is one of the key innovators and market leaders for the Digital and Interactive TV space. OpenTV pioneered interactive TV services and was the first open platform for Interactive TV applications on digital STB’s. They took the PVR technology from a niche device to the must-have feature it is today in the PayTV providers arsenal. During my 11 year career at OpenTV I was involved in many areas of the technology ecosystem for digital media. I released and managed some of the earliest commercial messaging applications for interactive TV. Productized first versions of a SaaS based platform for the management and provisioning of transactional data via your TV device. Managed and released content scheduling and management technology for digital TV services. Developed tools and services for the authoring and publishing of applications in OpenTV’s app store. As the VP of Engineering I was responsible for OpenTV’s global software development organization. I managed the daily operations of the global software development team and customer integration services. There were 7 offices worldwide with over 200+ employees, crossing all disciplines of a software organization. I worked hand in hand with the GM and CTO on the execution, delivery and budgeting of the company strategy and vision.
