Adam is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University - Idaho and a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University. He has experience in the juvenile corrections facilities and in a Family Therapy Clinic (FTC) at Texas Tech University. While at the Juvenile Justice Center, Adam participated in creating group curriculums for people suffering with addiction and provided family therapy to address relationship dynamics and difficult life cycle changes. Other therapy services provided include counseling families, couples and individuals with a variety of presenting problems including severe mental illness, parent-child relationships, as well as pre-marital education. Adam enjoys helping families establish emotional safety while developing healthy interpersonal boundaries and strong individual and family identities. Adam identifies himself as an educator helping his clients live by the principles of love, honesty, spirituality, accountability, trust, and forgiveness as central to a recovery lifestyle. Interests & SpecialtiesOutside of his educational experience, Adam’s life experiences have led him to develop great care and concern for the precious and powerful connection between parents and their children. Adam feels a strong connection with adolescents and the decisions they are faced with in today’s society.
