During my time at UKFast I managed the backup solutions for several thousands of our clients. I have around a years experience in monitoring, managing and supporting both Microsoft DPM and Bacula solutions.Backup errors and failures had been reduced by around 75% whilst I was managing our clients backup solutions. This was my second chance to improve both my leadership, organisation and management skills as a Staff Trainer at McDonalds. I did this alongside studying for my A-Levels to give me valuable work experience whilst completing my A-Level qualifications. To be able to do this successfully I had to use and develop and my excellent time management and an organisational skills to ensure I wasn't over working myself and had time to complete my college assignments. My responsibilities included managing sections of the restaurant, training new and existing employees, corrective coaching, safe handling, cashing up and role-delegation.I would manage teams of around 10 in size in an extremely fast paced and high pressure environment. It was important to delegate roles efficiently to ensure we consistently hit the targets we where set. I would train employees to be better than myself. This would ensure continuous improvement of skills within the restaurant when they go to teach somebody else. I would ensure the employee was fully competent on the area before training them in other areas of the business.I enjoyed this role as it enabled me to improve a varied range of skills and talents that will be useful in everything I do.

I was employed by Compass Group Catering who were contracted to handle the bars and restaurants at Haydock & Aintree Racecourses as a Barman/Waiter.I worked several large events, the biggest being the Crabbies Grand National. My responsibilities included cashing up, stock-taking, waiting on customers and serving customers on the bar.It was an extremely fast-paced and demanding environment to work in which is why it was so important to be able to efficiently work as a team.

This was my first job whilst I was finishing my GCSE studies and starting college in which I was able to exercise my leadership, organisation and management talents when promoted to Assistant Supervisor.I would co-manage teams of up to 15 people, usually at least 10 on the stadium bars. It was important that I was organised and was able to delegate roles and tasks out efficiently due to the high pressure the bars were under before the kick-off and at half time.My responsibilities included cashing up, stock-taking, role delegation, corrective-coaching, dealing with customer complaints and general bar work. I gained important experience in managing small diverse groups of people which has been transferable to future roles I have held. I was able to improve my interpersonal skills as well as learning how to effectively and efficiently meet targets and objectives through correct people management.This was also a customer-facing role in which I gained invaluable experience with how to deal with customers who felt they hadn't received an adequate service as well as general customer service skills.
