I'm the Systems Engineering Manager for Aptiv Connect Validation. I currently oversee an international team of five Systems Engineers/TPMs/Program Managers across our ACV range of software products, including Qualifier, Developer, ACGraph and our embedded Edge and Dlogger systems.

Edge Builder is the cloud-based setup application for Aptiv Connected Services' next-gen telematics solution. It controls what, which, and when we acquire data from vehicles using our hardware data recording units. It handles the complex nuances of varying communication styles on vehicles but abstracts away that complexity from users, leaving them the simple task of selecting which insights they want to gather.I'm the TPM and PO for a software team of up to 20 people, both back-end and front-end, as well as the visionary for the application, setting direction as an SME. I also interface heavily with our UX team to generate workflows and visualizations.Work activities:-Develop functional and non-functional requirements for Edge Builder-Visualize (hopeful) roadmap several quarters ahead (always in flux, naturally)-Guide the software dev teams by prioritizing deliverables (currently soft-setting the daily activities of 17 team members with minimal support of outside managers)-Coordinate with UX on workflows and visualization-Front-line triage for internal customers when anyone needs assistance-Interface with IT&V to validate our product-Evangelize Edge Builder upwards in the org, advocating for support and visibility into our app-Administer Agile and Scrum (SaFe) sprints, our portion of big room planning (as part of the larger org)-Support other TPMs and misc coworkers in cross-team activities-Mentor other colleagues on TPM conceptsI was in the office until the pandemic, and basically remote since then.
