Responsible for the migration of EUC Services from ‘on premise’ Data centres to Microsoft Azure Cloud. Successfully migrated EUC Services including; SCCM, Active Directory, Anti-Virus, Managed Print, Certificate services and several other critical services that impact the 11,000+ branches and 28000+ colleagues’• Developed and owned the detailed ‘Workload migration plan’ that included all migration activities for numerous external system integration vendors• Lead the project through the required testing checkpoints. This includes, guiding the services testing or the branch related services through the ‘Route to live’ release process, to demonstrate no impact to branches when deployed to the estate • Managing the cross functional team members, across the whole organisation. Extensive engagement required with Security teams to ensure posture from ‘on premise’ to Azure, is enhanced with PCI DSS and GDPR controls considered• Guided the project through the various internal ‘gates’ as set out within the organisation. Including business gating, service acceptance boards and extensive technical change advisory boards, often in challenging circumstances• Ensuring the Workload migration documentation is of correct detail and quality. These documents outline the migration summary information; VM sizings/costing and dependencies/impacts on other services• Responsible for the consolidation of VM sizings to achieve the most cost-efficient status in accordance to the reserved instances(RI) conditions • Represented the organisation during migration events, ensuing the T-minus plan is maintained and appropriate decisions are made to progress, or rollback with the organisations consideration for ‘risk to service’ always the main priority • Owned the budget for the programme, with regular interactions between vendors to ensure commercial alignment, before presenting to internal stakeholders on a frequent basis
