As a system administrator I am responsible for supporting, building and refreshing Windows servers. This also includes patch management, configuration and change management. Server configuration and asset management kept up to date via configuration Management database. This ensured that server asset management was correct, e.g warranty details, what the server does, and environment.Security patch management of all operating systems per patch cycle. Provided assistance to others in the team to maintain the schedule..Hardware Refresh – maintained list of out of warranty servers and made sure they were replaced with new hardware, or have the server virtualised into VMWare, then made sure old servers are decommissioned as per documented process.Built various virtual and physical servers (Windows 2003 – 2012 R2) and some Linux virtual machines. This was for project work or server upgrades as requested.

Responsible for 1st level support via email or phone call for all IT related problems. This included all application and hardware problems to password resets and telephone issues. 2nd level desktop support, desktop rebuilds and relocations and general PC related problems.1st level phone call and email support for staff who have IT related problems or phone issues.
