Drawing upon a wealth of experience across a diverse work history of Construction Management, Sales, Estimating, and Purchasing roles; I welcome any professional connections and am happy to see Linked In become a forum for business people from all fields to share ideas, insights, and opportunities.After studying at the UGA Terry College of business, my career path winded from wine sales in Italy, to the Business Leadership Development program with the Home Depot - learning Six Sigma processes, business analytics, and vendor relations. Interest in construction lead me to opportunities as both a builder and purchaser with CENTEX Homes during the housing boom of the early 2000's. There I was chosen for another prestigious training program. This six month "Boot Camp" taught me management and building skills from land acquisition to closing and how to overcome all the obstacles in between. This training allowed me to advance to the Purchasing Agent role; negotiating contracts with material and labor vendors to lower costs and improve home quality during these booming years. As markets changed so did my resume, I had a wonderful opportunity to work with New South Restoration in commercial construction as an estimator and Project Manager.
