I am the Managing Director of Carlton Services and have worked for the company since 2004.I joined as a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprentice in 2004 whilst completing my NVQ2 at Bath College. After my apprenticeship finished I was a qualified service, maintenance & installation engineer. From 2006 to 2017 I worked all over the South West of England working on a very wide range of equipment and installing various systems from scratch. In 2012 I was made Manager of the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning department and it was first experience of working in the office, and also taking on the responsibility of site surveys, quotes and customer queries. I was also responsible for organising the workload for the engineers. In 2022 we promoted the Supervisor to take over the management of this department.In 2015 I started quoting for Kitchen Extraction systems to assist with our Commercial Catering Department, and also started quoting for Catering Equipment installations and projects. I was made Managing Director in 2020 and moved more centrally in the business to focus more on the Commercial Catering Department and our Online Sales. I am now responsible for all new projects & installation surveys. I am continuing to head up the Online Sales department with our brand new web site launching in Sept 2020.

I was given a company van and supplied with all specialist tools, and I was on standby one night a week and one weekend in four.I continued this until July 2017, by which point I had been made a company director and was running the HVACR department, carrying out all the companies site visits and quoting for all repairs, installations and maintenance works. We took on another engineer to replace me on the road and I moved into the office full time.

Apprentice Refrigeration EngineerCarlton Services Uk Limited Mar 2004 - Jul 2006I started my Refrigeration Apprenticeship with Carlton Services in March 2004, gaining a basic understanding of the trade before attending the City of Bath College in September 2004 to begin my NVQ2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. I spent the next 2 years attending college, working on my portfolio and completing various assignments. During this time I was nominated for Apprentice of the Year and also put forward to the National Skillfridge competition.I passed my NVQ2 in July 2006 and went straight into the main line of the business.
