IFC’s in-house litigation counsel; has helped acclimate the Corporation to the post-Jam landscape, assessing potential litigation risk of projects and restructurings, guiding the Corporation through disputes across the globe, and facilitating when IFC seeks to enforce its contractual rights.

Managed teams through government enforcement actions and complex litigation. Handled cases from complaint through appeal, drafted countless motions and responses, argued dispositive, class certification, and discovery motions in state and federal courts, conducted all aspects of affirmative and defensive discovery, including e-discovery and deposition testimony. Highlights include enjoining a former executive of a major biomedical company who attempted to steal trade secrets and intellectual property when joining an overseas competitor, and serving as the primary litigator in challenges to government actions in connection with an investigation into alleged misconduct of major Chinese telecommunications company.

Seconded to the Paris office of Clifford Chance to provide U.S. regulatory and litigation advice to firm clients in Europe.

Highlights include successful appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, defending against multi-million-dollar claims relating to lending and credit reporting under federal and state law, and leading the successful challenge of a former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that culminated in his disqualification as an expert witness from one of the largest putative securities class actions in history.
